A new collaboration with the CALECHE project
We are excited to highlight the CALECHE project, a fellow initiative under the Built4People umbrella, focused on eco-innovative solutions for protecting and enhancing Europe’s cultural heritage. As modern challenges such as climate change and urbanization increasingly threaten historical sites and buildings, the CALECHE project seeks to implement sustainable and resource-efficient methods for their conservation.
The CALECHE project aims to promote the safeguarding of heritage structures through the use of advanced diagnostic tools, sustainable conservation materials, and innovative methodologies that not only preserve the authenticity of heritage buildings but align with the EU’s climate goals. By developing these cutting-edge strategies, CALECHE addresses the pressing need to reduce the environmental footprint of heritage restoration and continually evolve these efforts for better efficiency and impact.
HERIT4AGES and CALECHE find common ground in their dedication to preserving valuable cultural heritage by integrating resource-efficient, low-emission technologies, and multi-disciplinary knowledge. Both projects focus on using data-driven analysis, employing environmentally friendly materials, and ensuring cost-effective and sustainable solutions for cultural heritage sites. These projects align closely in their multi-sector approach, merging expertise in architecture, materials science, and sustainability. Together, HERIT4AGES and CALECHE contribute towards a more resilient and sustainable future for Europe’s historic assets.
