Sensors Installation in Spain

In January, the Herit4ages project took another significant step forward thanks to the support of our partner, Foundation Santa María la Real, who installed advanced environmental monitoring sensors at two key heritage sites in Spain:

Heritage Lab in Canduela

A former Santa Maria hermitage has been repurposed as a research laboratory for heritage conservation. This controlled space, free from human interference, now hosts sensors that monitor temperature, humidity, air quality, and other environmental factors. These measurements will help assess the impact of Herit4ages  retrofitting solutions applied to the building.

Heritage Living Lab in Aguilar de Campoo

This historic hotel was built on the remains of an 18th-century structure, next to the Santa María la Real Monastery. The installed sensors track key environmental variables such as temperature fluctuations, humidity, and air quality before and after using Herit4ages panels. Additional monitoring devices on radiators and windows provide insights into heating patterns and ventilation efficiency.

Thank you to Foundation Santa María la Real for their invaluable support in making this installation successful. Stay tuned for further updates on the project's progress!
