IBS Hosted Two Co-Creation Workshops in Estonia
Our partner Institute of Baltic Studies (IBS) organized two interactive workshops in Tartu, Estonia, bringing together online and on-site IBS employees to explore IBS strategies and activities in the HERIT4AGES project. These sessions aimed to foster engagement, gather insights and discuss innovative solutions for cultural heritage renovation.
Workshop 1: Vision-Building & Needs Mapping – "My Dream Office"
The first workshop, held in November last year, focused on vision-building and understanding user needs in the context of heritage building renovation. Participants dived into the HERIT4AGES project and IBS’s key activities such as involving users, and heritage stakeholders in developing and testing solutions. Other key topics included:
IBS offices serving as the pilot project for small-scale testing of indoor insulation solutions and climate monitoring using sensors.
Universal design principles, which focus on creating environments accessible to all, regardless of age or ability, and their application in IBS offices.
An interactive session where employees envisioned their "Dream Office," sharing valuable insights into workplace needs and preferences.
Workshop 2: Co-Design Plans & Discussion
The second workshop centred around the presentation and discussion of co-design plans. Participants engaged in a collaborative exchange of ideas, refining IBS strategies for coordinating co-creation activities. Discussions focused on working closely with end-users, gaining a deeper understanding of their expectations, co-designing solutions, and raising awareness of new technologies.
