CETIM
CETIM is a private Research Centre focused on delivering industrial research across circular economy topics. CETIM has facilities to develop R&D projects from lab scale to pilot facilities. Being a Multisectoral research centre, CETIM deploys technology to several companies in Batteries and Vehicles, Construction, Plastics, Water and Nutrients, Food, Textile, Electronics, Forest, etc.
CETIM is structured in three research areas: i) Advanced Materials Area includes: Energy Storage, Polymers and Lignocellulosic Materials as well as Sustainable Construction Materials; ii) ECO BIO Technologies Area includes Technologies for Water Treatment, Biorefineries and new value chains as well as Sustainability Analysis and finally iii) Digital Technologies Area includes Digital Systems (Digital Twin, Blockchain, AI) and Internet of the Things (sensors and its networks).
Role in the project
CETIM leads the materials development developing three technical solutions for ceilings, floor and walls. All the materials to be studied in the project must have properties to enhance the energy efficiency of the buildings and also have a sustainable profile while not disturbing aesthetics and accessibility.
CETIM participates with the team of Sustainable Construction Materials from the Advance Materials area as well as the team of Sustainability Analysis that is studying the materials to ensure that solutions have the best environmental performance, cost-effectiveness and social aspects.
